DVDs are mostly dead — but the idea of truly owning what you love shouldn't be.
iOwnDigital makes it possible to OWN the content you are paying for. In 2026, that's rarer than it should be. We don't run on subscriptions. You buy, you own, and you can download a copy of your purchase to watch anywhere, anytime.
We are a direct-to-consumer marketplace for music, comedy, and documentary video content — a place to discover new work and genuinely support the artists behind it.
Expect more content, more artists, and more features as we grow out of Beta.
Please be patient with our beta phase as we are using this time to procure more content from vendors. All uploaded content will be available immediately for sale once the payment system setup has been completed. The only content that appears unavailable for purchase are placeholders that have been added temporarily for site design.

We are actively onboarding our founding group of artists as well as editing some iOwnDigital Original content coming soon.
iOwnDigital is currently open to Bands, Comedians, and Documentary Filmmakers — any creator who wants a dedicated place to upload and sell video content directly to fans worldwide.
You may ask yourself, “Is iOwnDigital for me?” We are open to all artists and creators whether you are 100% independent or signed to a major label or management company. Being on iOwnDigital additionally gives you a place to be found.
Please have a look at our Okinawa Americana product to see how much love is being poured into what we are offering. It includes detailed information of your product: where, when, descriptions, setlists/contents, liner notes (just like those from vinyl records), a place for a 60-second sample video, a trailer, and the all-important “Credits” section — from which we will build a database over time that benefits both the performers and the crew who painstakingly worked on your project. Building a sense of community truly matters to us, just as much as it does to you and your fans.
The deal is straightforward. By the time a DVD moves through traditional retail — store margins, physical media, distribution — you'd be lucky to receive 50% of the sale price. iOwnDigital operates entirely online. We bear all costs associated with the upload, credit card transaction fees, site management, marketing, and more — to ensure a substantial amount of the profits go directly to you.
Payment split
Payouts: We pay out once your balance hits ¥50,000 (approx. $315 USD as of April 2026). You will receive your funds at the end of the month after you clear the threshold — e.g., June sales are paid at the end of July.
For example: Assuming a net royalty of ¥2,000 per unit (based on a 50/50 split of a ¥4,000 sale), you would reach the threshold after only 25 units sold. 25 units × ¥2,000 = ¥50,000.
To protect the integrity of our platform and the artists on it, all new Vendor accounts must be verified via a video call (recorded for verification purposes). Once you submit your account request, we will reach out to schedule that call — we're happy to answer any questions during that conversation.
